How to brew the 

perfect cup of tea

Green Tea

White Tea

   Green Tea   

Temperature

165-175F. If you don't have a kettle with a thermometer, boil the water and let rest for 15 minutes.

Amount of Tea

The general rule of thumb is 1 generous teaspoon of tea for every 6 oz of water.

Steep time

30 seconds. Green tea is especially susceptible to bitterness when over-steeped so be careful!

Number of Infusions

2-3 infusions depending on the green tea.


   White Tea   

Temperature

175-185F. If you don't have a kettle with a thermometer, boil the water and let rest for 10 minutes.

Amount of Tea

The general rule of thumb is 1 generous teaspoon of tea for every 6 oz of water.

Steep time

30 seconds. If you want stronger tea, add more tea but do not steep longer or the tea will get bitter.

Number of Infusions

2-3 infusions depending on the type of white tea.


   Oolong Tea   

Temperature

180-190F. If you don't have a kettle with a thermometer, boil the water and let rest for 10 minutes.

195-212F, which is boiling water.

30 seconds-1 minute. If you want stronger tea, add more tea but do not steep longer or the tea will get bitter.

Number of Infusions

2-4 infusions depending on the type of black tea.


   Pu Erh Tea   

Temperature

195-212F, which is boiling water.

Amount of Tea

The general rule of thumb is 1 generous teaspoon of tea for every 6 oz of water.

Steep time

30 seconds-1 minute. If you want stronger tea, add more tea but do not steep longer or the tea will get bitter.

Number of Infusions

Depending on the pu erh, you can make up to 10+ infusions. Amazing!


   Herbal Tisanes   

Temperature

195-212F, which is boiling water.

Amount of Tea

The general rule of thumb is 1 generous teaspoon of tea for every 6 oz of water.

Steep time

2-4 minutes. You don't need to worry about the infusion getting bitter with herbal teas.

Number of Infusions

1-2 infusions depending on the type of herbal tea.
